Here's a sheath I made up for one of our BF brothers. It's made for a CS spike hawk, hangin on a CS frontier for the pics.
Elk antler button, tiny deer antler tie end "buttons" dyed to match the leather, with cross hatch tooling, with matching belt frog..
Best regards

Robin

Nice job pipeman. Reminds me of a beaver tail type of pattern. I may copy that pattern for 2 2hawks I have for my personal use. Very nice. I have been sitting on the project awhile and don't like metal snaps on the sheath. Would make a nice matching pair. Regards.

Hey Loosearrow
I use a tiny ball stylus to do the cross hatching. I'm with you on the metal snaps, I use them when asked. I do like Sam Brown closers very much for certain applications though. I try to use organic materials as much as possible. The first cross hatching I did was on the sheath for a beaver skinner I made for a trapper friend, it was shaped like a Beaver Tail.
I just waiting on some Beaver tails to tan for sheaths and inlays, it's beautiful leather.

Best regards

Robin

Hi Pipeman, Your leather work is top notch and complements the hawk so well. In fact all your work shown on the forum makes me want to see more.

Hey Hawkhead
I just upgraded my membership but not sure of the rules, I think I'm allowed to post my website. If I'm not allowed I'll edit my post. Maybe someone can tell me.

It's just up and is all old pieces and some kinda crummy pics that we're changing slowly. Soon it will be more up to date work.

Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated.

Best regards

Robin

I remember seeing that picture. You do very nice work, keep posting. Regards

Here are a few pieces for a local guy. Hunting bag in cowhide with a flashlite holder and pocket knife sheath and a snap out interior pouch, stag crown buttons. The four asst sheaths are 10oz veggitan dyed and simple tooling. I'm doing my best to sell him a hawk.
;-))

Best regards
