Blade Defect?

I have a commander and a super cqc7. I hardly use them to cut anything other paper and number 2 pencils so when I got a nick on the blade on my super cqc7 I was really surprised. I thought it was just an isolated incident but when it happened to my brand new commander it made me think if this was some sort of manufacturing defect since the blades are really ground thin.

if the blade chipped from cutting paper and a #2 pencil yes something aint right imho, send it back to EKI.
