Hi everyone,
I’m working on a small office paper shredder designed to handle 7 A4 sheets at a time for an academic project. I have a few questions about my design:
P.s., Please let me know if there is a more specific Forum where I can post this.

I’m working on a small office paper shredder designed to handle 7 A4 sheets at a time for an academic project. I have a few questions about my design:
- The cutting edges on my blade design are curved (R1.01 mm)—is this too small? (Attaching an image for reference. The blade thickness is 6mm, Material: Mild Steel with heat treatment).
- Is a 500 RPM, 0.7 Nm torque rating and (around 40W motor) be sufficient for this operation? (I understand the info is incomplete but I want to have a general idea).
P.s., Please let me know if there is a more specific Forum where I can post this.
