Hello All,

I was wondering if there was a chart that shows what each Busse's blade design was intended for. Now before everone starts saying that each blade was designed to do what ever a user would want it to do, think about this. I know the larger blades are meant for chopping and such. Blades like the Hell Razor, I would think were for fighting or general purpose. But, what about blades like the SFNO, SAR series, ASH and others. Please if you know put it in this format:

Hell Razor: Fighting/general use
Sarquatch: All around camping knife
FFBM: Chopper

ETC... Thanks for all usefull input in advance.

Do you mean "intended for" or "good at"?
Are you looking at a particular set, or the entire catalogue? (50+ models at this point)
Do you mean what we think busse intended them for, or what jerry has said specifically?

Last Visible...,

I just read an old thread where you discuss the difference between "fighting", and "combat", as well as "intended use" knives... I found it very informative... cant seem to find the link again...???

Intended for would be the first thing. But like I said in my thread as an example:

HellRazor: I think it was intended for a fighting knife, but I think it works well as a general purpose too.

Also, just the top 15-20 busse knives would be cool to know there intended use when they were designed.

Fighting and combat are two of the same thing to me. I understand the term combat vs fighting here though. I would say a good combat knife should be easy to use as a fighting knife too.

I tend to think of nearly all of the busse catalog as 'general utility' with a sliding scale up to the heavier weights where chopping becomes more and more of the primary function. Save for the few specialty models like the argonne assault, war boar, ak47, gladius, NICK/XXLNICK, and Dagger. The NICKs are kitchen knives (the xxl can be used for chopping but has a bit of a small and round handle for it) and the rest are intended to be 'fighters'. The above link has several rants on my opinion of them as 'fighters' as well as the difference between 'combat knives' and 'fighting knives'.

as in ...

NMFBM Primary Design Parameter:

Total annihilation via spliting, chopping, impaling or smashing anything that stands in one's way.

??? :D
