Seeing the nifty little stand that George uses sometimes to photo his HI acquisitions got my wheels turning.
Upon letting him know the rust on my wheels had loosened and they were turning he sent me that stand to look over.
I'm thinking about making a few of these to send Yangdu to offer up when she feels the urge if I get them turned out nice.
Will be something similar with a few modifications.
Here's my Worlds Bestest Curved Spine along with one of my favorites a Trisuli Ghaule.

My Earthquake suvivor Katunje, Yangdu's special knife.

The original size IBBB didn't quite bridge the gap, something I intend to remedy.

Not a problem for the 16" big brother, not so itty bitty.

Thanks for sending this George, I'll be in the research and development plant if anybody is looking for me.

Enjoy it my friend! Thank you for posting with knives! Can’t wait to see your development/improvement. I’ll be one of the buyers for sure!

Those stands do look great, it'll be fun to see what differences you come up with.

Ps-do I see 1911 grips in the background? In the next few months I'll be in the market for some personalized grips for my SA Loaded.

Bawanna is THE man for personalized grips. You can see a lot of his work at Bawannas Grip Emporium wix (google it).

Let me know when your ready. You probably saw several Thompson Stocks in the back ground. Kahr asked me to cut them up and make 1911 or other grips out of them. They are blems with bad spots, one has exceptional grain to it. Wish it wasn't broken or it would be on my own Thompson lickety split. Hard to get them cut to where I can work it. I got one so far, get about 3 or 4 sets out of a stock.

Kind of geared up some today. Had to get a utility room cabinet for the wife. She insisted I get a spindle sander and a bench belt sander fpr my anniversary, I don't call it a birthday anymore since you just get older, should help the knife rack construction.

Like to get a decent small table saw. Have one but it's kind of junk but does what I need for now.

Guess I'll be setting those up tomorrow to play with.

Just looked at your wix site, you've done some amazing grips! (Awesome work on all those AK Bowie grips as well!) I'd definitely be interested in working together on something, is it better if I get your email and we can talk more about it there?

Yes email would be better. I can't PM or email you since your not a paying member.

You could maybe email Yangdu and she could give you my email. I know she is entertaining guest from Nepal now so away from her computer.

I know many are afraid to post their email on an open forum, so guess I better be too?

I never really thought about that but I suppose it could be a bad idea to put that info out there. I'll email Yangdu when I get a chance!

Is the Back knife in the first picture a Thamar Shamsher? (I may not be spelling it right)

I emailed Yangdu last night and asked if she would be so kind to give you my email when she has a chance. Shoot me an email when you get mine and we can get into the details!

Sorry I missed this George. Not a Samsher, but I want one. This is the worlds bestest Curved Spine.
Bookie will argue that he in fact has the worlds bestest but in reality he has the worldest second bestest.

I better work on getting a Samsher so I can have the worldest bestest one of them too.

9F7DD88B-A74F-4F12-88F1-455865C2A7FC.jpeg I hate to break the bad news to you Mr Bawanna, but, I already own the worlds best Samsher by Thamar!

That Samsher is gorgeous. I always wanted (still want) one! Next on my list is an 16" AK and a CR, pretty sure....
I have my Tin Chirra which I love. Thamar is a prodigy.

I think there was a 16” CAK on the forum recently.

True. It went to a good home. Bawanna made some nice kindling. I've got to handle both of them to know for sure, but I think I want an AK over a CAK.
No, there is still another. It’s under 10/18. It’s not the same one.

Oh wow the Neem one is still available? That's just wrong!
What I want to know is this.. (and you probably have all these khuks, so you might be able to comment..)
The chiruwa AK, is it balanced like my M43? Sort of middle-balanced versus my Thamar Tin Chirra with the traditional tang feels very forward heavy like it wants to chop..almost like an axe... Does the CAK vs AK compare in this same way? Or is the CAK forward-weighted also?
I might have to do a side-by-side on an AK/CAK... then I just have to decide if I want 15,16,or 17 inch! :D I'm such a diva, sorry.

The CAK is forward heavy also, really not that much metal between the slabs of handle.
Some feel that the CAK transfers the force of the strike more into the hand and doesn't absorb as much into the wood handle. May be some truth to that.

I have no issue with either, I used to be a devout full tang kind of guy but after seeing how these things are put together I'm happy with either.

I do love my new 16'' CAK we get along just fine. If there's a weak link in the system it's definitely me, with bad hands elbows and rusty joints.
