Just bought a Mini Presidio 527 and the tip of the blade is thinner then any knife i have seen. Any body had any experience with the durability of this blade. It's thin, thinner then the edge of a finger nail. Is this even normal, or did I get a miss grind?

Yes it's normal, not a CNC defect..and as heat-treated the 440C blade's strong; those 522/527 models really slice but don't pry with them.

I have been using mine as a beater for the last 6 weeks. I am very surprised at how she has held up. The tip is tiny, but stronger that it looks. The 440c sharpens up very easily. I had purchased this knife because I wanted a nice but inexpensive Benchmade that I could take onto job sites that would not scare the sheeple. It is a nice, small, smooth little companion that wont weigh you down.
Mostly cutting boxes, vinyl strapping, ropes etc.
I love the Presidio line, something about the handle that really feels right in my hand.
And like jkarp_53 said, the heat-treating is exceptional.
You have a good knife there.
Cheers
