Blade etching?

I was thinking about offering etching for some of my buyers. I do not make knives, only sell them.
Is this something that can be easily done?
What equipment would be bst used for the low volume end user?

You will probably require disassembly and refinishing<buffing> so it might not be a good idea to try it yourself. Also, unless you mean "selective" etching it might not even make it look any better after your trouble.
