Blade fall speed?

The blade on my large Sebenza, like many others here, will fall if I disengage the lock. However, it falls kinda quickly and I was wondering if that was normal? My small Sebenza's blade falls as well if I disengage the lock, but it's much slower. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give.

I tried my large and small Sebenzas and the small one fell slower. I think that it due to the heavier blade on the large.

Yep! The large falls relatively quickly. Scott is right it is the size (and mass) of the larger blade that makes the difference. When I first got my Seb I used the blade fall to close it single handed. Now that I am a little less ham fisted I don't use the fall anymore.
