Blade finish restoration

I'm removing the patina from a CPM-M4 blade using metal polish. It's working, but now parts of the blade are highly reflective. Is there any way to restore a matte brushed finish? It's a Spyderco knife, I want it to look as close to original as possible. Thanks.

Do you mean a satin finish? If so, this video by Gough Custom may help.

I have done it myself. It took a while though.
