Blade for Shopping or socialising.

I have been wondering the reasons why the HOGS or any on else who frequents this forum goes to Blade.

Do you go to buy knives, socialize, or both.

I go mostly to socialize with my fellow INFIdels and hang out at the Busse table. Since I don't know but one other knife knut much less any HOGS in my area this is the only time of the year where I get to meet with a bunch of folks who are all real knife knuts and even better all of my porcine brethren.

While I do bring a little money in case something cool is for sale I just like to look at the other tables and hang out with all of you. Oh yeah the food tends to be pretty good too.

So I think it's time for a poll. If you can't vote just post your answer in this thread.

Hopefully, I'll be able to make this one my first. I plan on bringing "pocket money" for the inevitable purchase(s), but really look forward to putting faces on some of these handles.

At Blade West, I had THE FOLDER in my hand, but Jerry wouldn't sell it. Some nonsense about "prototype" or "one-of-a-kind" or some such blather.

What states are these blade shows in and what dates are they held? I live in central Virginia and would realy like to go to one, or two, or three.
