Hi can anyone tell me about the GEC club knife, I saw a drawing of the knife on another website, are they sold out, are there any pictures, any info would be helpful. Thanks Tom

I'm guessing that you are referring to the 2011 Traditional Forum Knife? If so, the orders and payments have already been placed and the deadline has passed. Some members ordered more than one so there may be some available for sale by individuals after they are delivered. I think the goal was to have them done before the holidays, but this will depend on GEC's schedule and when the members in charge of the project here can inspect and get them shipped out(which is a lot of work in itself). GEC also purchased new tooling for this knife with the intent of making more of the pattern in the future, which means that they will likely have some for sale with different scales and possibly a different secondary blade choice.
Here are the original threads if you are interested at looking through them. There are some photoshopped pics of what the knife and tube will look like. The red and yellow label on the right was the final choice for the tube.

The short story is each year some folks volunteer to organize the "Forum Knife". These members put a lot of time and effort into the project for their friends here on the forum.
Those of us who are interested are invited to vote on the pattern and when possible other aspects related to it. The organizing group then contacts companies to work with on the project to get a quote.
The ordering typically happens in late spring or early summer. Once all the funds have been collected the final number is ordered and we just sit back and wait until they are finished and shipped out.
A search in the Traditional Forum for the term Forum Knife will provide details. We will probably start the process for next year's knife in Feb or March of 2012.

Damn wish I would have discovered this place a little sooner. That knife looks beautiful. Congrats to everyone who was able to get in on it!
