Can anyone recommend a good blade gringing video.? I heard Allen Blade has one, but I can't seem to find his e-mail to write him. Maybe there are others who may have produced a good video?

Thanks in advance.

Bob Loveless has a really great video too ! From start to finish all the stock removal info needed to start off. I think most of the knifesupply places have these like Texasknifemakers and Koval, as well as K&G. Also Sheffield knifesupply if my memory serves me correctly. Good luck.....RDT

I think Johnny Stout also has a blade grinding video. I saw the exerpts from it on one of the websites and it looked pretty good.

Johny Stouts is about the best I have seen.I have RW Loveless video
and it skips alot of steps. If you want one that show you just how to grind I would go with the Johny stout video.

I will second Nathan's note about the RWL video. It does skip a lot of steps, and includes many that small shops simply cannot reproduce. However, there is nothing quite so charming as spending a couple hours listening to Mr Loveless talk about knives. If you don't love knives when you begin the tape, you will when you've finished it.

I'm going to buy the Johnny Stout video next myself.

I have both of the Johnny Stout Hollowgrinding and Harvey Dean Flat grinding Videos.

They both have a great bit of info in them.

They were shot by what looks like a college camera crew and they are kind of jumpy and out of focus at times but as a hole and for the price (around 20.00 through Kovals) I think they are well worth it.

Hope this helps

Steve,
I don't know how it happened, but somehow I wound up with 2 of the Loveless videos. Same tape. I ordered it from somewhere that sells them (I can't remember now who it was), and I guess there was a screw-up and I got a 'backorder' too. Let me know your mailing address, and I'll ups the extra one to you, freebie. Better than just letting it sit on my shelf. I've learned so much from this forum for free that I'll try to pay a little back by just giving it to you.:)
good luck.
