Here is our first update for BLADE.
The Emerson lottery drawing will be held on Saturday, May 30th at 1500 hrs in Room 103. This years lottery is going to kick ass. I am bringing some very special knives, some unique creations, prototypes, and new models. And, come Hell or High Water I will have the Super Secret Project complete and ready for your perusal. We will have live music, fine drinks, a few cards up our sleeves, and some other very cool surprises.
I will also be giving a lecture on Saturday, May 30th at 1300 hrs in Room 108. The lecture is titled, Edged Weapons Separating Myth from Reality. This is a very dynamic lecture that explores and explodes many of the myths that have grown into and permeated the design, training, and teaching of the Edged Weapons discipline. It has been several years since I have given this lecture and it is time to do it again. If you worship at the altar of any one given teacher or discipline or pay homage to a particular knife maker who knows everything about fighting knives, then do not come to this class. It will only piss you off.
Hopefully, Ill get a bigger room this year for the seminar. Last year people could not attend because there was not enough room. Perhaps some of you could e-mail BLADE and let them know that an Emerson Seminar needs a larger seating capacity.
Best Regards,
Ernest R. Emerson
