Guys do any of you know where I could find a video explaining everything about a blade with an emphasis on ideal edges and sharpening. Every thing from knife terms (bevel, relief edge ect and what those even are), to different steels and ideal sharpening for said steals. Im a newbie when it comes to that stuff.
 
There is no one source for everything you want to know.

Quite a few things you want to know about knife edges and sharpening was covered by R.Landes but that is still in German.

Other simple resources are Sandviks knife steel knowledge (just google the phrase). It is a good place to start.

Welcome. Honestly, the best thing to do is read a lot here...especially threads about steels and about sharpening, and, most importantly try stuff. Get a stone, get some wet/dry sandpaper, maybe even get a Sharpmaker and some less expensive knives using softer, easier to sharpen steels, and go at it.

Take a v grind edge and put it to the stone or to the sandpaper. Worst thing that can happen is that you convex the edge, and I do that deliberately.
 
I would recommend beginning by going to the Maintenance, Tinkering and Embellishment subforum and reading through the stickied threads at the top. There are plenty of wrong answers to the questions you're asking, but there's also a lot of very different right answers and much heated debate about which answers are the rightest. ;)

Unfortunately, no one has been able to distill that kind of knowledge into a single video, but once you get a better handle on what you're looking for you'll find hundreds of videos offering bits and pieces of advice that you can put together and figure out what works for you.

Edit: I realize that my post may have made things sound really hard and it isn't. Basic sharpening mostly just requires practice, but there is a giant world of information about the more advanced stuff and none of us agree on quite what the right bits are. ;)

Good suggestions, I like my Sharpmaker, I use it a lot for kitchen stuff, scissors (finally practiced enough to sharpen them), and needles, etc. A stone is also a good idea, gives you an idea of how angles are affected, can be frustrating when you round your nice bevels.
 
I think one of the best tools you can get starting out is a very bright and portable light source (two or three lamps even might not be a bad idea). Good lighting can make a world of difference. And while you may end up doing all your sharpening say in the garage with an overhead light. You may also be just as likely to find yourself doing it on any flat and level surface you can find. And the normal lighting around you usually isn't enough to really see what you are doing. No matter what system you end up using the most. Your results will always be better if you have fine and close up control of your lighting.

Use the search function, and don't be lazy. If you're lazy, your knives will not be sharp.
