Blade Length question

On my Gen 1 3v bushcrafter the blade is 4"

On my 01 blanks it's 3.8" Also I didn't measure it but they seem to be a bit thinner too.

So are all the blades slightly shorter on the newer models? I don't mind but was just wondering.

4" from where to where? tip to handle? sharpened edge?

Yeah from the tip to the part where the edge ends at the ricasso.

I used the same CAD file as the last run...

compared to the first run, yes there's probably more "room" in the handle...the guard having moved forward a bit.

And also the O1 is 0.125" precision ground, whereas the CPM 3V is oversize hot-rolled...coming in around 0.135 to 0.145"

Yeah I like the thinner blade on the 01, better for slicing.

then you'll definitely like the new run...I'm surface grinding them down to 0.125-0.130"
