blade length, thickness, and....height?

what word do you use to describe the measurement of a blade from edge to spine?

fwiw, blade width is what i hear most of the time.

width just sounds an awful lot like thickness

Width is pretty standard usage. A 2x4 of lumber is nominally 2" thick and 4" wide. Sheet metal has length, width, and thickness.
