I see that people are getting there profile and pics in blade mag and i was wondering how do you do it? Do you have to pay? or do you just send the pics and bio and hope they put you in? just curious...and does anyone here advertise in blade? is it REALLY expensive and is it worth the $$ if you dont have alot of $$ to begin with...

You send in pics and a bio. They will sometimes run it. I am not sure what their criteria is for choosing which bios to run, but quality photos seem to help.

I'm not sure on the full-blown knifemaker bois but, we set up a photo box and started taking pictures. Anytime I'd get a few good one's I'd send them in and also any knives I had professionally photographed.

I think is was kinda like the Shawshanck Redemption or something like that. I finally sent so many photos that they got tired of looking at them piling up and printed some to get rid of me.

Start sending them pix. If they like them, they'll print them. Especially if there is something in your photo that applies to a particular article they are doing.
