About 10 days ago I recieved the october Blade magazine, Yesterday I recieved the november issue. What gives? It's not even sept 1st yet?

No kidding...I received my November issue a couple days ago...Hell, it's still AUGUST, and Blade thinks that it's already Winter!. :grumpy:

Why don't they just bundle-up a years' worth of issues and send 'em out in January, then just take the rest of the year off?.

the only store in town where they sell Blade is over a month behind on issues, although they keep a steady supply of tactical knives magazine around. Blade is also only visible if you crouch on the floor and look for it.-way in the back.

No kidding! Don't you hate that? There is a Books-A-Millon about 4 miles from my home that puts all of their gun and knife magazines at floor level and at the back of the rack. (Trussville, for you B'ham natives.) You have to kneel and bend over to see them. There is another Books-A-Million about 12 miles away (Eastwood) that has two large sections full of gun and outdoor magazines, with the gunzines at eye level and usually a gun magazine of some kind arrayed along the top of the shelves for decorative purposes. The knife magazines are at floor level, but at the front, and it is apparent that they aren't down there because they are ashamed to display them. I gladly make the extra drive to patronize the store that isn't ashamed of my interests.

Maybe magazine publishers get way ahead like that in case they are hit by a disaster or a strike, I'm not sure. Some magazines come a month after the one on the cover, some in the month that is on the cover, some are one month ahead and others are a couple. There is no rhyme or reason.

Maybe their printer has been giving them a 2-for-1 special.

Most of the gun magazines are owned by the same company and put the same freakin' article in multiple magazines so if you've bought one, you've bought them all. :thumbdn:

Want a good magazine to read?
Combat Handguns

.

Combat Handguns is a good one.

I got my November Blade yesterday, but was too tired to do anything but look at the pretty pictures last night. I think I'll spend some quality time in the hammock tomorrow afternoon reading it.
