I was reading through the March 2009 edition of Blade magazine. There was an article there that caught my attention that discussed knives that transend time and fads. Among the knives that it discussed were slip joint knives, assisted opening knives, custom folders to name a few. They could have easily mentioned lockback folders among them as a general class of knives, but instead called out the Buck 110 as a class all its own. It went on to discuss the original 110 that Al Buck brought out in 1963 and the effect it had on the market from that day right up to the present. It was a great article and states what many of us here have been saying for quite some time that the 110 is timeless. My hats off the the author of the article.

Yeah, notice how many times on the bay that off-brand knives are listed as being a 110 type knive. Its the teacher of the class but in the class by itself.

Hey thats not a bad slogan..wonder if CJ would allow it after the cutoff?;)

I wonder how many folks will read that article and decide its time to pick up a 110 ?
