I have looked for a long time to find the March 2015 issue. I can't seem to locate a copy. Does anyone have a copy they don't want anymore?

Thanks Stacy. I'm particularly interested in Joe Szilaski's article on 80CrV2.

It's in Knives Illustrated, circa 1998-2000, not Blade.

Blade doesn't really do the style of "general" extensive steel tests Knives Illustrated does. It was all done with purpose built test mules, which is almost unique. It also apparently included an INFI mule, which is odd.

I'm just going to call Joe tomorrow and get the information straight from him.

I got the stack and pulled the March 2015 issue. If you still need the article I can either send you the issue, or scan Joe's article and send you the scan.

Thanks Stacy! You can just scan the article and email it. That would be fantastic. Thank you very much. I talked to Joe about it already but I have been wanting to read that article for a long time.

I'll put my email on your profile page.

Does anyone have the magical issue that G Gaston444 is always talking about?

G Gaston444 , was it the June 2000 issue that is on eBay? Under the mailing label, the cover says, Tech Tips: Analyzing Blade Steels

Might be worth checking out for $4.95 to potentially set the record straight. ;)

Could be, but very unlikely: I remember reading this test before taking up miniature modelling, which I did around the early Spring of 1999. I will probably try it anyway, as the date is close.

The article by Joe Szilaski on 80CrV2 steel is in the March 2015 Blade issue, page 82.
