I think this has to do with the Matsuda ( Kiku ) knife that SOG is going to be producing. Yes...it has a talon hole!

Don't have a scanner, but yes it is a talon hole it seems. Its not the SOG knife though.

The front guard hole... aka the Talon Hole is a Registered Trademark of Busse Combat

What I was thinking.

Also a knife on page 108 with whole in front of the front guard. Think the Trademark is only for "front guard hole" like the one on page 54 though...not really sure.
