Hello,

I primarily collect WWII blades; however, I have a few SOG S1 Bowies with one extra scabbard that I would like to fill with a correct S1 Bowie. The scabbard is the typical black scabbard but has the words "Edmonds,WA." under the SOG logo at the base of the scabbard. I realize that this scabbard was made when the SOG company was located in Edmonds, Washington; however, I would like to know if the S1 Bowie that initially came with it would have been marked "Edm.WA." below the SOG/Specialy Knives logo? My early Santa Monica, CA S1 Bowie has both the Santa Monica place of make on both the scabbard and knife, but my Lynwood, WA S1 Bowie only has the place make on the scabbard. So, should I be looking for a S1 Bowie with the "Edm.WA" words below the logo or a blade without the "Edm.WA" be correct? TIA

If you want to be 100% correct the knife woudl say Edm.WA on it like the SantaMonica one does. However i think that those will be pretty rare, I don't know exact number produced but it's going to low. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I was afraid that that would be the case. You are correct in that finding a "Edm.WA" marked S1 Bowie is going to be difficult. In the two + years that I have been interested in the SOG S1 Bowie I have never seen one marked with the "Edm.WA" below the SOG logo. I have seen more than a few Tech, Tigershark, and folders marked with it, but not an S1 Bowie.
