When I check prices on the knives I'm interested in, Blade Matrix, always has the best price. Should I purchase from them, do they have a history?

Never dealt with them, but from what I have read their service is rather hit or miss, with occasional long delivery times, poor communication and somewhat high shipping charges. I have never read about people not getting what they ordered, just that there are many better online dealers service wise.

I've only seen 2 to 4 references to them, but those reflected what you said. A few weeks ago I e-mailed them asking for clarification on shipping, the response was what I wanted to hear, but it was in conflict with their written policy.I've been looking at them for about 6 weeks, but my little hairs are still uneasy. What are the names of a couple of other low price dealers?

What I said about Blade Matrix prices are wrong, I just went to their web site and their prices went up about 20% since yesterday.People it's only been 1 or 2 days at most since I checked their prices, I'm sorry but this whole thread I raised was ill timed, sorry.

There are many good dealers that support this forum. You can find them over in the For Sale by Dealers area of The Knife Exchange forums. These dealers may not have the lowest prices, but you are going to get competitive prices and good service from them.

braddy,
I've order from Blade Matirx in the past. They've been good, but they are known to raise prices quickly. In the space of a year, I saw there prices go up three times. Still there prices were comptetive. However, there shipping costs were exorbitant, to me at least. Minimum shipping charges for ANYTHING was $7.50. Anything meaning knives the size of a machete to replacement toothpicks for a Victorinox SAK. They do deliver the ordered goods quickly and do correct their mistakes (there was only one with me that was quickly taken care of after a few emails). But I just don't like their shipping costs or their successive price increases. I haven't ordered from them in over a year. IMHO, order from them if you can tolerate the shipping charges. If not, there are other great places like New Graham and Smokey Mountain Knife Works that are a pleasure to deal with and have very reasonable shipping. I hope this helps.
