Picked up a nice sodbuster from Bear Knives of Arkansas the other day, because (a) I didn't have one, and (b)it will come in handy in places where lockbacks aren't allowed, such as restrictive, backwards countries like England. However, I noted that on closing, the 'snap' causes the edge to touch the spring, leaving a little nick. The fix was easy: a sliver of leather tucked down against the spring, then saturated with BreakFree. Now the edge doesn't get nicked and the BreakFree helps keep it rust free. BTW, these Bears are nice knives, excellent high carbon steel.
