I received a NIB Seki Cut Bob Lum Encounter. It is a great knife, but when closed the blade is not on center. Is this a defect in the blade, or was something put together incorrect? Thanks for any advice.

how far off center?
Does the blade hit the side?
Does it lock up tight?

It does not hit the side, and locks up solid. I was say it is off about half way from center to the side. It functions properly.

1- open knife until blade locks up

2- loosen pivot 1/2 turn

3- apply pressure to the blade flat pushing the blade TOWARDS the liner it is hitting when closed

4- retighten the pivot

5- close blade and check

6- repeat if needed.

This should work. I picked this up from someone here on the forums and have tried it with success.:D
