  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Blade play in Byrd Cara Cara 2?

My brother has one and likes it. It was his first entry into "spyderco" knives and replaced a garbage 5.11 knife. He has since got a Meadowlark too. Both knives are, for the price, very fine tools. I will take my Sage's any day but he is not there yet!

Go for it and order one. High end knives sneak out with problems now and then so a cheaper line will have issues now and then too. Buy it from a known seller here (bladehq, culteryshoppe...) and if there is a problem you can send it back. NO KNIFE IS PERFECT. Most of the cost of expensive knives is finish and tolerances. The cheaper Byrd knives will work just fine, although they wont look so damn sexy while working just fine.

My Cara Cara Rescue 2 Is like a rock. I use it a lot to break down thick cardboard and the blade moves not a bit. FWIW.
