I got a great deal on an AFCK a couple of months ago. I've used it very little but the liner has moved almost all the way across the tang. From what I understand, titanium liners wear quickly only to a point and then will not wear any further. Is this true?
My AFCK now exhibits up-and-down blade play. Why is this the case when the liner isn't all the way across the blade tang yet?
Is there any type of at-home operation I can do to lessen the blade play or will this have to be sent in to BM? What will they do to fix it?
Finally, besides being a pain in the butt, what's wrong with blade play? Does it increase the chance of accidental disengagement of the lock or is it just sloppy? Usually I retire knives with blade play but I don't want to do that in this case so is there any danger here?
Thanks in advance.
