is it normal to have a little blade play in the SAK one handers like the trekker and the trailmaster..anybody know???

The "blade play", I assume, is vertical, and yes, it's completely normal, and it's not a problem because the SAK uses not only the lock (liner or button), but also a backspring, so there is enough tension on the blade. If there is horizontal play, that is not normal, and you should probably send it back to Victorinox. The reason for the play vertically is because it's a $25-30 knife and it has some tolerances to make sure that all of them lock up, even if it's not an axis-lockesque lock.

My experience has been some SAKS have some blade play, others don't. I don't let it bother me at all. Just accept it and give it nary a thought, and you'll be a happier person.
