Is up/down play normal on a lock back? I've owned quite a few and have noticed a bit to some degree. Usually one hundredth or a few thousandths. Am I being too anal? If you have a current Spyderco Chinook, can you check?

Lockbacks do have bladeplay. I own several, all without pivot screws, infact, do they make a lockback with a pivot screw? Anyways, it's normal.

My Calypso 3 has some, I ignore it... and find something to cut.:D

I guess I'm anal... LOL:D

I have some with none at all, and I have some that have a little bit. I think it just inherent in the lock design.

I think my Cold Steel Espadas lock up tightest.
