Blade Play on Ritter Mini - Grip with Wilkins Scales

I just purchased my first set of aluminum Wilkins Scales for my Ritter Mini-Grip. Following putting them on and tightening everything up, I noticed that there is a slight amount of blade play laterally in the blade. I didn't notice this prior to taking off the original scales. Is this a big deal that I should try to remedy or just live with it? If I should try to take the play out, any suggestions? Thanks for all the help!!
 
I've tightened the pivot screw until the blade is a little too tight but the blade play is still present.
 
If you have play it was probably there from the start. If it's minor I wouldn't worry about it.
 
Same thing happened to me. Turns out I turned one washer around when I reassembled it. After I changed the the lateral play went away.
