Recently bought a few rough Ryder barlows to add to the collection and they all seem built well except some side to side play in them. Nothing in terms of crazy movement and I know they are cheap but I’m just curious if anyone else that has any RR barlows has experienced the same thing and how they have held up to long term use? Thanks

Expectations for knives these days are sky high, no matter their cost. I have had overall great luck with RR knives, and would certainly buy again if one struck my fancy.

That being said one of my favorites is their Barlow pattern. I carry mine in my pocket in tandem with my larger work knife about 300 days a year. It is an excellent little knife that I would be happy to pay 7-10 times more than I paid for it.

It has the slightest bit of play the truthfully it may have been there all along. I just don't put my knives under a microscope like so many do these days. Pulled it out, enjoyed the walk and talk, dropped it in my pocket and we have been friends ever since. I sharpen when I need to, blow it out with compressor when I'm cleaning up tools and put a drop of any kind of lube I have handy on the pivot. If you are a user you will particularly enjoy this knife.
