Hi.
Thinking about buying Spyderco folder,..never had one.
What model is the toughest when it comes to blade play(side to side), and just strong in general. Open back for easy cleaning would be great.I usually carry Strider SMF and love it, but I would like new one to be same size, little slimmer, and more of a slicer. It will not be used as a prybar. Does not have to be a new model, since I do not mind buying good quality used knife.
Thank you

a para-military is a good choice,as well as the full size mili. a good, more affordable option is the tenacious.its china made, but it is a strong, excellent little edc blade. 8cr13mov steel takes a razor edge and holds it very well, plus its fully flat ground.hope this helps.

What would be reasonable price for used (like nib)military model with plain edge? I have not seen yet tenacious on the secondary market???

Manix 2.

I think the Ball-Bearing lock is less prone for side-to-side movement even though the compression lock is extremely strong. Blade play doesn't necessarily mean weakness.

Give the M2 a look. For $65-75 bucks it's the burliest tank knife you will find and it's 100% American full of G10 goodness. :)
