blade play with waved delica

Just received my waved delica today. Great knife. However, there is a little side to side plade play. Is this normal for this knife?

A little side to side plade play is normal in any knife. Is the play extreme?

If it is minimal, it is fine. You may want to play with pivot screw some.

Blade play is not extreme. I tightened the pivot screw which reduced plade play, but made the blade stiff to open. I will just leave it with some blade play so it will open up smoothly.

The knife will loosen with time. You might try tightening the pivot and opening it a few hundred times.

You have to adjust the pivot screw to find that sweet spot where there is minimal blade play, and the blade opens smoothly. There will always be a compromise.
