i am getting a one peice chris reeves knife and i am getting it for Survival/Camping knife and i was wondering i like the clip point tips more (but not much more i could sacrafice) but for a survival knife theys tend to be weeker so i would want something stronger (like a spear point) is this a problem for chris reeves knives???

and i dont like the sheaths they supply for the knife is there a sheath tha would fit the shadow IV, mountainerr II, and the Project 1???

Well it all depends on personal preferance. With some of Chris's knives it really wont make a difference as all his knives are built to last. Now if you want a new sheath defenatly get a survival sheath from spec ops!

The pancake sheath that comes with the Shadow III my most favorite sheath I've used. So comfy and secure, plus it's tucked in nice and close to the body. I'm sure that it will not outlast a kydex rig, but it's still a great sheath.

The SPEC-OPS sheaths are completely badass. I absolutely love the one that came with my Green Beret.

i carry my Pacific and mountaineere in a Spec-Ops combat master sheath. The Pacific came with one but im just not into the grey digi cam patern so i use my good old green one. The sheath that came with the mountaineere is also not too bad but i just dont use it for carry, only storage.

You may be surprised. I didn’t think I would like the leather sheath that came with my Mountaineer II, but once I received it I love it. It really grows on you. It fits the knife great. The quality and thickness of the leather is outstanding

i think for long term survival a leather sheath wouldnt be the best thing to have (remember im getting this for a survival knife) because dosnt leather brake down in moist areas for a long period of time? and the spec-ops one would serve me much better for a survival sheath because it will not brake down if wet for long periodes of time and it has a utility pouch on it also.

how do you guys fit a Mountaineer II in the small spec-ops sheath so it doesn't move at all? the blade is not large enough from what i've experienced...

I ordered a kydex sheath from brian at okuden for my CR green beret. It is absolutely awesome. I highly reccomend Brians work. To contact him his email is; okuden@earthlink.net . I am in Iraq and he made my sheath super fast and I got it over here in about 2 weeks from placing my order.
