Ok. I have seen some pictures of some nice custom knives done up by the owner. Something that always strikes my fancy is the polished blade. How and where can I have this done? I really want a to polish the blade on a mini commander. Just to have a "pretty" carry knife. Any thoughts or ideas?

Oh, I did try to search but the search feature must have not been working. I just could not get it to search at all.

Basically it is pretty simple, dissassemble the knife, hand sand the blade to at least 600 grit, preferably wet, then buff with green stainless steel cut and colour compound on a buffing wheel. Get some hands on training on proper buffing technique first if you have never buffed before, the buffing wheel is very dangerous.

Some blade materials like talonite, Stellite 6K and S30V will not polish to a high mirror finish no matter what you do.
