any of you notice tiny dots on any of you're blades? I was checkn some of mine out today and I looked under a microscope and some appeared to have a few small porosity inclusions in the steel. not large at all, like the sharp end of a pin. I'm thinking this is probably common. Also the different types of steels probably are more or less prone to porosity as well. thoughts?

I suppose it could be. I kind of figured that it was porosity in the forging that was exposed during final machining. however you do bring up a good point as the blades I have noticed it on have been D2 and M4. Only reason I'm not so sure about pitting is the fact that some of these blades are like new.
