Blade profile shots

I thought it would be nice to have users submit closeups of their edge hone work.
I'd be curious to see the different convex profiles used - and their effectiveness - vs. a Scandi grind.

Anyone care to start a new photo thread on this subject? I'm particularly interested in how thick the bevel is as it nears the edge taper... some of these khuks get thick!

i recently aquired this kothimoda it was a presentation piece for a retiring staff seargeant now i hopes its not too late but it looks like somone has butchered the blade by trying to sharpen it what are the chances of saving it or is it a bust take a look at the pics the cutting edge seems twice as wide as it once was due to over zealous grinding or is it a new kuk with a 10 inch blade needed.

Grinding job looks fine. Just buff out the scratches and you should have a nice thin edge. I often use a file to my new khuks just to get the bevel a bit higher.
 
thanks for that i still have some 3000 grit wet&dry i,ll try that i allso have some stuff finer then that i,ll use as a final polish
