Greetings,

What do you all use for blade/steel protection? I sweat very easily and much. This is the main reason I stopped using my knives with SS handles(they started pitting overnight) The other day I bought a bottle of Ballistol. It seems doing a good job. What's your opinion?

Break Free CLP. It is a synthetic lube like Rem-Oil. You can usually find it anyplace firearms are sold. You can also wax your knves with various products. I think Rust Free is a type of wax product.

Tuff Cloth is effective protecting blades and you can get its sister product Tuff Glide for lubrication. You can try the Marine Tuff Cloth if you're in a more serious rust environment. I found White Lightning made a good lube and didn't attract gunk.

If you use knives for food prep, a little food grade mineral oil will coat them nicely.
