Blade Recoating?

Anyone out there know of a place to get an Emerson Commander recoated? I would like my 2000 black plain blade to look like new again. I would be open to other finishes that might be more durable. Thanks in advance for your advice. [I tried the search function but it was not functional.]

What about sending it back to Emerson? Seems like that would get you a finish that came with it originally. They would probably tune it up for you at the same time.

Inquired of Emerson, but they replied that they don't do recoating.

If it's "take downable" (new word?) try Gunkote (checkit out on any search engine) or, if you want a really tough coating, try P.T.F.E.
