Hi - I just wanted to recommend forum member Richard J if you need sharpening or blade regrind. I had him do a regrind on two of my Emerson's because, and its just my personal quirk, I just prefer a standard edge shape as opposed to the chisel grind. My apologies to the chisel edge fans. :)

Anyway, Richard was super to deal with, very prompt and courteous. And the knives came back with fantastic edges.

Thanks!

Joe

I have been thinking about doing the same thing. Let us (me) know how well it holds up over time. I may end up contacting Richard myself.

Also, pics.

Amici,
Richard J is great, he and his paper wheels did some fixed blades for me last year with positive results.. I'm actually thinking about having him re-profile my Horseman and one of my Commanders..

A +++ all around..

Cheers,
Serge

Since I suck at sharpening recurved blades, about two weeks ago I had Richard J sharpen my Super Commander. No regrind, though -- I didn't want to void the Emerson warranty. RichardJ was great to deal with and very prompt. Btw, the knife came back scary sharp. His paper wheels are amazing! If I ever considered a regrind, I would definitely trust him with my blades.
