Blade replacement

I think this question might have been asked before, but I'm gonna give it a go anyhow....

I lent my wife my Para 1 BTS and she managed to put a significant chip in the edge near the tip. She has no idea how it happened.

Anyway.... what are my options here? Is it possible to get a new blade. I would REALLY like to get a PE blade for it and would be more than happy to spring for one.

Should I send it to Golden with a note and a picture of my wife. Do you think they would be sympathetic? :D

If you want a new blade you will have to get a new knife. Spyderco does not sell blades.

Hmmm....... I suspected as much. Seems a real shame. Ah well, I will just have to sell this knife for a song I guess.

How big is this chip? I've sharpened out some pretty big ones and kept the knives. Heck, I hit a finish nail with my BG-42 Military (several times before I figured out it was there) and chipped the edge in three places. The biggest chip was 6mm long and almost 3mm deep. I still use it, and I wouldn't sell it for less than replacement cost.

Its not really that big at all, but I am not into serrated edges anymore so if I could replace it with a plain edge, that would be the ideal solution.

Just go buy yourself a para 2, and "accidently lose (if you need an excuse to get a new knife)" your para 1
