I was hoping to trade this knife but it didn't work out. Now I'm thinking of making this blade a little more of a spear point and convexing it. What do you think. Is it a waste of time and will it be worth less, even if I do an awesome job?

If it turns out "awesome" and is what you like, then who cares what it is worth. It will be priceless to you. Go for it.

Blessings,

Omar

Ok I started grinding in a secondary choil on the blade. Going super slow, as to not heat anything up.

Nice. If you reshape the tip, I'd like to see that.

I am definitely going to be grinding the tip quite a bit, making it "stabier" for lack of a better word! Gotta go to work though, more pics to come!

This is the blade shape I'm going with. I decided against the pointy, because all my knives are like that, figured the reverse tanto like shape would be different.

Ok. Went back to the drawing board. This is it. Now I have to remember how to put it back together! Lol

Looks good!

What did you use to grind it? (Both the tip and choil?)

I like ryxlyx's tip mod also.

The choil I used my dremel with the hard stone attachment. The spine a 8" bench grinder, The stone with a grove down the center. I went real slow and probably dunked the blade in water every few seconds.

All done. I think I am happier with it. But this knife is just too big for me. The handle is really big and I don't think I could cut it down. Oh well, I like to look at now! Lol
