Blade resonance - Dozier

I don't own a great deal of knives, but a few. I have noticed my Dozier 'sounds' different than any other kife I have (BRKT, Fallkniven, Buck, plus about 5 others).

What makes the blade resonate differently? I would think primarily heat treatment, but I am sure composition, or possibly "trade secrets" could have some effect :D.

Just thinking out loud.

The heat treat may have some effect on it, but more than that, it's the length, thickness, how tightly the pivot is holding the blade (if a folder), how tightly you're holding the handle, and what other material is touching the blade.

A heat treated blade sounds very different than an annealed blade. I love the sound when blades come back from heat treat. I doubt different treatments have much of a tone difference, though.
