A few quick pics of some chunks that were flung from the trough...

BATAC 2007 SE, AD 2007 SE, and a Rat - actually a Rat-Man-Du! (cool knife).

Yeah, TL, it feels like it would throw well! :D

Troy - the Ratmandu has the LM handle, about a 5"-5 1/4" blade, and looks to be made from 3/16" stock. It was $138.95.

Nice blade! I was thinking a little more than five and less than 6 based on it being beside the Badger, thanks.

That BATAC is Awesome! Congrats! The only blade I want more is this

. Whoever ends up with this one, if you let it go............... well you know.;)

After I got my HRLM and my two BATAK's I said what I really need is a HRLM with a 5" blade. I just spent ten minutes drooling at the RATMANDU. It is the knife I designed in my head as the perfect knife. How do I get one? Any chance they will appear in the company store? In the Ganza (which actually doesn't do me any good, I never get anything in a ganza, too slow I guess).

So what's the story bro. I'm confused about what's on the tables. Did you score that OD/Black Badger just lying on the table? Was it just the customs being put up in small numbers? What's lying around on the tables for non-customs? What about Rats and Dogs?

It was my impression that the Ratmandu would go up for sale on the Swamp Rat web site.

I asked if they would have any other color combinations for the web site and they said probably not. If they were not going to sell it in the store, they probably would have said something.

Yep, Eric said the Ratmandu's would probably be at the Store sometime after Blade.

Damn the Man, the Swamp & Scrapyard tables had the knives for sale laying there. The Busse table had none laying there, just some demo models standing up that weren't for sale.

At the designated times, Jerry would open his boxes of knives containing one 2007 Special Edition knife and several Customs. The SE knives were then held up by Jerry and passed out as everybody yelled & reached for them. You were lucky to get hold of one, and not many were let go once somebody had it! Then Jerry would do the same with the customs in that box.

If any were left that no one bought, which were very few of the customs, then they were laid on the table until somebody got them, which didn't take very long. No more were available for sale until the next designated time, usually 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Bear in mind that I am not there, but for the past couple of years, there has never been anything left "just lying on the table" after about 30 minutes into the show. That is why Jerry is doing his incremental release thing, to give the piglets a chance at something before the hogs snarf it up. I would wager that except for some of the more expensive customs, everything is gone from the table shortly after it is revealed. And then everyone just stands around jawing while waiting for the next debut....

Rick - speculating wildly

If ever Jerry gives up the Knife making game he will be a sought after talent by several multinational marketing companies.
Good on him. :D
