Blade shape on Farmer and Pioneer?

Anyone else notice that the blade shape is different than on the 91mm celluloid models and the Cadet as well. The shape of the blade looks like a Wenger. Am I late to the party here or have other people noticed this as well?

Yes...they are also thicker. Based on the 1961 Soldier model.

I knew that they were based on the Soldier, but I didn't know about the blade shape or thickness it was a pleasant surprise when I got them in the mail and opened them up today. Thanks for the clarification!

Yup, thicker and slightly "more enhanced" blade shape.

Yes. Pioneer/Farmer blades are the same.

The OP was comparing Cellidor 91mm and some 84mm blades with the Pioneer/Farmer blades.

They are actually 93mm but of late, are listed as 91mm to avoid confusion.

I was a Vic dealer for 3 years back in the 80's and even some of reps I talked to couldn't keep it straight. There was probably some official reason but in my personal experience, they were so close in size, the size designations were often confused.

They also eliminated some 85 mm models and introduced "same name" 91 mm versions of them which was confusing too!

Thanks. It doesn't really matter. I have a couple Pioneers and Farmers on their way to me and I just wanted to make sure I was getting something, at least at the 91mm platform. Sounds like I'm covered. One of these will probably replace my Cadet as an EDC.
