Do you fellas notice a difference between baton-ing against a drop point blade compared to a clip point or spear point blade? I gather that the blade shapes mostly affect stock thickness near the tip or detail work or sharp points, spine strength and such. But curiosity has me...curious. So how about it? Anybody notice a difference?

Haven't noticed much. My Next gen ka bar tends to vibrate more than my BK2. But id argue it's the thinner blade and stick tang than it's shape.

Clock beat me to it. Vibes, man, vibes.

You beat enough knives through wood, you learn the vibrations you get at the handle.

Its also a good indicator of issues that may be developing. Drops are, IMO, the strongest tipped of them all. Hey, its my opinion, that's all.

Wood plays alot into what you feel when you smack a knife, but there are definetly some different vibs for each tip.
