Hello Knifenuts, :D :D :D :D

Darrel Ralph Designs announced plans today to celebrate the opening of the 2006 BLADE Show in Atlanta by giving away four new Darrel Ralph designed 18 X-RAY autos made by Camillus Knives.

Darrel Ralph Designs will exhibit in Booth #68 at the BLADE Show in June. "This is our second year in a booth at the BLADE show, and we love the extra room it gives our customers to gather and meet at the biggest show of the year," Ralph told KnifeNetwork.com.

The Darrel Ralph Designs booth will exhibit the latest styles for all Ralph's custom knives such as the new
V-III Balisong, GunHammer GH folder, AK-1 SAS Auto, as wel as his classic MADD MAXX II folder.

But this year, Darrel Ralph collectors will be treated to two chances to win his latest combat tactical design: The new 18 X-RAY Auto from Camillus knives (MSRP $249.99).

Ralph also announced the two ways collectors can win one of these true tactical combat automatics.

At Booth #68 at the 2006 BLADE Show, Darrel Ralph Designs will give a free new 18 X-RAY Automatic folder to the first two customers who:
1. Buy a new custom made Darrel Ralph knife at the show, AND who
2. Say the words "SAS - Safe Auto System" when they purchase.

ALSO: Everyone attending the 2006 BLADE Show on opening day, Friday June 16th will have the chance to enter a drawing to win one of two other new 18 X-RAY autos. Tickets will be available free at the Darrel Ralph Designs booth and the drawing will be held the same day. All details will be available at the show in Booth #68.

The Camillus 18 X-RAY Automatic folder is the only safe automatic knife officially authorized for purchase by armed forces of the United States. Its national stock number, issued by the U.S. Department of Defense, is NSN: 1095-01-533-9377. The 18 X-Ray is carried on duty by US SOCOM units on duty in western Asia.

The Camillus 18 X-Ray Auto uses the patent-pending SAS Safe Auto System to keep the knife in SAFE mode at all times. Troops fire the automatic action with the stroke of one button. The ultra-high quality CPM 154® stainless steel blade is blackened and serrated for military use and the hardened aluminum frame is rated for aircraft egress capability. The 18 X-RAY auto is SAFE, open or closed, and cannot accidentally fire in the pocket.

hey darrel, i can't make it to blade show! if i type SAS on this thread do i get a free knife! :D oh well it was worth a try! good luck at blade show.:)

That is a nice looking knife, and the lock / firing mechanism seems ingenious. At first I thought it looked similar to an axis lock but definitely not.

What materials are used for the blade and scales?

The knife looks great!! I hope it has the option for Tip up or Tip down carry, I can't wait to handle one.

Sweet folder. Interested to try that locking mechanism.

The blade is 154 cm
The frame is aircraft alum with black ano.
The blade is DLC coated.

The swithc does not work anything like a benchmade axis lock.
