For me the most interesting knife of the show was the
Kershaw Ken Onion Mini Mojo - Speed-Safe assisted opening knife
with new stud locking mechanism

I need some Mojo! I heard the full size one has like a 4" blade!

That lock design looks promising. Why can’t they use a bit better steel? :grumpy:

Had a chance to hadle it at Blade. Thet's a cool knife! And, I thought I was done with production knives.

anyone else think the stud lock looks like a axis lock? seems to be the same idea, although i can't really tell from the pics

The thumb stud lock isn't a new thing, G.Sakai, who is a company from Japan, has their knives being sold by Spyderco using this same feature. I know that I saw one in person at a knife "store" well before last Christmas. Check it out.

The lock might not engage in the same exact way, but releasing the lock via the thumb stud isn't a new concept. I guess you could think of it as the axis vs. arc lock deal (somewhat).

As mentioned earlier, this is the mini, the full sized is larger, with a 4" blade I believe.
