Tom

Ti yo yos... :)

Must have been fun to make. I thought I'd seen everything that could possibly be made with Titanium but now I realize I have not. Great photos of some fine knives too (as usual) :)

Wow Tom! Excellent stuff and great pictures too! Btw...how much does the Ti Yo-Yo (small size) go for?;)

Eric.

P.S: pordon my ignorance but what is a "Nukupod"?

The yo-yos are made from 6AL4V titanium bar stock.

More material is machined away than remains on the finished product.

I do everything in my shop, with manually controlled machinery.

33086500-c16a-02000194-.jpg

Care is taken to hold the tolerances necessary to ensure performance.

33086499-9561-0200016F-.jpg

I even cut grooves in the O.D. and install high durometer Nytrile® tires for user control.

Each is match machined and fitted with a high performance stainless steel bearing. Even the axle and end screws are machined from 6AL4V titanium.

The rules of The Gallery prohibit posting of prices.

I can tell you, however, that the price reflects the investment of time and materials required to do all of this - and that they take almost as long to make as one of my folders.
--------------------------------------

A "Nukupod" is a device that can be used as a keyring or zipper pull. Inside, I've installed a "glow-in-the-dark" insert that's similar to those used on Luminox "Navy Seal" watches, therefore making it easier locate your equipment at night. The body is machined from solid 6AL4V titanium bar stock. Some customers have likened it to "a keyfob on steroids."

Whoaarrr....nice! The Yo-yo's value is worth it IMHO....BTW, if i remember correctly....Luminox uses "tritium" tubes for their watches so does that mean the Nukupod have one in them too?

Eric.

This post gave me a woodie...! ;) Ooops! Did I say that!?!

Great stuff all around, Tom. I wish you good fortune.

Coop

Tom your knives are better than Viagra! Nice yo-yos too! I always thought somebody should build a high-end Yo-yo. Nice machine work.

Awesome Tom, just awesome. It seems that you can machine nearly anything, and do it well.

You know what I think would be really cool for a maker to make? Custom razors. Not straight razors, but something like Gillette makes.
