It's almost here! What a show and alot of blood, sweat, and more blood and sweat go in to this show. Keep up the good work all makers that are going. :D :) Cavelady

I know a lot of folks are burning it from both ends getting ready.

On a side note (Hijacking my friend Cindy's thread) :D.

I would like to invite anyone who is interested to the "Thursday Night Blade Show dinner".

Calvin Cooledge and I have been organizing this for a few years and the group keeps growing.

We seem to be having more fun every year and it is a great way to relax before the hecticness of the show starts.

The routine is to meet around the elevators at the lobby (elevators near "the pit") and head out in caravan around 6 P.M. or so.

All are invited, but I need a head-count for the reservations.

If you/yours are interested email me here. Please include Blade Show dinner or something like that in the subject line.

I hope to meet and spend time with many old and hopefully new friends at the show.

Power to all the makers working round the clock!

I will make the trip across the water for my first taste of a big show US style - can't wait to finally meet friends and acquaintances I have made amongst the makers, collectors and dealers.

The thought of all that sharpened steel and functional art in one place makes my knees shake :D

I'll be there next year to throw some cash on some handmades. Until then, hope to see some makers at the Chesapeake Knife Show this December. Anybody know any exact dates of the show?

And It Was Good.

This year, I'll be back and not stuck behind a freakin' table the whole time, so I can meander. I should be picking up some extra special goodies that I commissioned, but it is anybody's guess who will actually deliver.

It will be fun to go, no matter what. I get to meet a bunch of you fine folks and my room should be nice and comfy, should get some decent sleep for a change. I have a cat that thinks that 3:00 am is "playtime", I keep threatening to turn him into a nice knife case, but he ignores me. Sorry you won't be going Cindy, but I am bringing a goody bag for Geno, and will have some items in there for you as well.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I know I'm looking forward to going. Hope to meet alot of you fellas there. This is my first time at Blade. It'll be like a kid in a candy store. :D

Thanks Steven! I usually stay here and pull guard duty, clean the shop which is thoroughly wiped out by then so we are up and running again after the show. That takes 2 days just to get that done.
